• Tap on the 3 dots next to the desired playlist name *

Choose Rename and tap on OK (if you do not see the 3 dots, you are probably in Sort mode, to exit, tap X top left)

Or if you have tapped into a playlist so its songs list, top left (to the right of the search bar) touch the overflow menu (3 dots) and choose Rename.
