Alternate chords are the small chords printed above the regular ones. Switch to alternate entry, then enter the chord as usual. Switch again to change or delete one, and choose Regular chord to return to normal chord input.

 

On iPhone, iPad, and Android, tap the small button to the left of the chord box at the top of the Editor keyboard. On Mac and Windows, click the Alternate chord button near the chord input box.

 

The player ignores alternate chords, though they transpose along with the rest of the chart.
