Click Songs in the sidebar, or the playlist you want the song to appear in as well. On Mac click the + at the top right, or press Cmd-N for a blank song. On Windows click the pencil at the top right and choose New song, or press Ctrl-N.

 

Choose a template: Blank has no barlines, while 32 Bars AABA, 32 Bars ABAC, 48 Bars, and 96 Bars lay out the form and its barlines for you.

 

In the Editor panel on the right, set the time signature at the cursor, enter the title, composer, and style, then choose the key you are entering the chords in and click Set. Enter chords from the quality dropdown, or type them on the keyboard.
