Choose an accompaniment style, then set the key, the tempo and the repeats. Tap or click Play to start the backing track.

 

From a keyboard, the Spacebar starts and stops, and the period key (.) pauses and resumes.

 

You do not have to start at the top. On iPhone, iPad and Android, tap a measure to select it, then tap the play arrow that appears inside it. On Mac and Windows, double-click the measure, or select it and press the Spacebar.

 

Start four or eight measures from the end and add one to the repeats, and those bars become an intro, with the song then playing from the top.
