Change the tempo in the player controls. Tap or click the tempo to open it, then use + and −, drag the slider, or tap the metronome icon in time to set the tempo by feel.

 

From a keyboard, - and = step the tempo down and up, and the comma key is tap tempo. Chromebooks use the same keys.

 

With the tempo panel closed, drag up or down on the tempo itself for a quick change. This is Fast mode, and it works on the repeats too.

 

Choosing a new accompaniment style can change the tempo, since each style carries a default tempo of its own. If the tempo will not change while a song plays, the automatic tempo increase in Practice mode has hold of it: drag that slider to zero.
