Tap or click and hold a measure until it selects, then drag across or down, or drag the blue handles, to set the range. With an external keyboard, or on Mac and Windows, click a space and hold Shift while using the arrow keys.

 

Cut lifts the selection and pulls the later measures back. Copy leaves the chart as it is. Delete clears the contents but keeps the space. Insert Space adds blank space the length of the selection, pushing later measures forward. Paste drops the measures in and pushes the rest forward; to paste over instead, select the measures you want replaced first.

 

Reach the commands from the popup menu on iPhone, iPad, and Android, from the Edit menu or a right-click on Mac and Windows, or with the standard cut, copy, and paste key commands.
